- Back fill with top soil to proper grade height
The trench depth and width can vary depending on size of yard and the drainage issue. Typically it should be 5 to 6 inches wide and 8 to 12 inches deep. It needs a slope of no less than 1% – slope at least 1 inch for every 8 feet of length.
